SAVE to Host National Press Forum
SAVE is holding a press forum containing the guest speakers of MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, New York Times’ Thomas Friedman, PBS’ Judy Woodruff, Newsweek’s Eleanor Clift, Washington Post’s David Broder & Former White House Press Secretary, Mike McCurry. Roughly 200 young voters will comprise the audience and the central question the panelists will be asked to answer is: what can we as young voters do to make our voices heard, affirmed, and recognized in the journalistic community? SAVE Urges All States to Allow Teenagers to Pre-Register to Vote
SAVE issues a press release stating its support for pending legislation in California. SAVE also emphasizes the positive impact increased registration has on young voter participation. Young Voters Codemn Supreme Court Decision on Voter ID Law
SAVE issues a press release declaring its opposition to the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in support of an Indiana state law requiring photo identification for voters. The law will adversely impact the ability of young adults to exercise their right to vote because young people are far less likely to have the required identification. (read more).
