With all due respect, these ramblings are inane.  Why isn&#039;t voting &quot;cool?&quot;  Give me a break.  

While you bemoan the unchanging nature of the character of American youth, and publicly cry that Americans don&#039;t think voting is &quot;cool,&quot; your elitist attitude and astounding ignorance will lead you to nowhere but frustration.  This is a free country, and as long as it remains so (and lord knows your pouting idealism wishes we could despotically inject a little more civic duty into these do-nothing young people!) young Americans will always have to choose between pop culture, and voting.  Should voting, then, be dumbed down by rock the vote, puff daddy, and Christina Aguleira?  MTV will certainly try their best, but when it comes down to it, Americans (young or old) don&#039;t like celebrities [or bratty elitists] telling them what to do.  

Not voting in the US is certainly a foolish feat.  But the herd mentality of meaningless campaigns like &quot;vote or die&quot; is far more pathetic.</description>
